Japan: PSP sales spike

According to Eurogamer, in a strange turn around of fortunes the PSP has been outselling the DS and Wii in Japan over the past week. This spike of sales has coincided with the release of a Mint Green PSP model.

An extra 20,000 sales where made bringing in a total of 73,706 units, more units sold than either Wii or DS which sold 64,535 and 51,922 respectively.

Nintendo has been dominating Japanese hardware sales charts for quite some time, but these latest figures suggest that Sony have been doing something right.
