Manhunt 2 to be released after all

According to Eurogamer, the once banned Manhunt 2 will get a released after all.

The Video Appeals Committee, which independently oversees disputed classification judgements, voted four to three to allow this game to recieve an 18+ rating.

The BBFC was by all accounts forced to go along with the decision. BBFC director, David Cook said in a statement.

"As I have said previously, we never take rejection decisions lightly, and they always involve a complex balance of considerations ... We twice rejected Manhunt 2, and then pursued a judicial review challenge, because we considered, after exceptionally thorough examination, that it posed a real potential harm risk. However the Video Appeals committee has again exercised it's independent scrutiny. It is now clear, in the light of the decision, and out legal advice, that we have no alternative but to issue an 18 certificate to the game."

Rockstar have yet to announce a release data for Manhunt 2 in Europe.
