FreeLoader allows Wii Multi-Region
Chris Kruger
Region encoding on console platforms has long been a source of frustration for gamers who like to sample from the rich games libraries available in other regions (particularly Japan). On previous generations of console some software or gadgets allowed one to use software from any region.
Until now this was not possible on current generation. The FreeLoader, recently released by Datel, now gives us this capability for the Wii. Just whack in the disc, load the software and then insert any Wii or GameCube game and job's done.
As the Wii FreeLoader isn't a hardware modification there's no invalidation of the warranty. It is, of course, 100% unofficial so there is no support from Nintendo for this product.
